Sizing:

Please carefully measure around the head under their ears.  Start from the front of their forehead, go under their ears and around their head.  The listed sizes are the actual hat sizes.  The fabric is super soft and stretchy make sure you don't size it up as it will slide off.

How to Measure Your Pet’s Head for Louie de Coton Hats: Use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string, then measure the string with a ruler).

Wrap it around the widest part of your pet‘s head, just above the eyes and under the ears, where the hat will sit.

This measurement gives you the correct hat circumference size.

How to Put the Hat on Your Dog or Cat

• Introduce slowly.
• Let your pet sniff and explore the hat first so it feels familiar, not strange.
• Position the hat.
• Gently place the hat on the crown of the head, above the eyes and ears.
• Guide the ears through the ear openings.
• Run the chin strap under the chin.
• Secure the strap.
• Buckle or tie the strap snugly, but not tight. Make sure you can  fit two fingers between the strap and your pet’s skin.
• Check to make sure your pet looks comfortable!
• The hat should not:
• Slide over the eyes
• Press on the ears
• Cause irritation
• Start with short wear times. Begin with just a few minutes. Reward your pet with treats,  then gradually increase the time they wear the hat.
